In The Pink Stores, Inc. Implements Retail Management Suite On Slingshot’s Private Cloud

DEDHAM, MA, July 28, 2010 -- In The Pink Stores, Inc., a luxury apparel retailer and e-tailer, is the first enterprise retailer to go live on Slingshot’s recently launched web-based Point of Sale (POS) system. Following months of core testing and preparation to make the move to Slingshot systems, In The Pink went live on Slingshot’s private cloud across all its retail store locations in Massachusetts.

In response to strong and consistent growth, In The Pink Stores, Inc. selected Slingshot to meet the challenges presented by its multi-channel retail business. In The Pink implemented Slingshot’s Retail Management Suite - including Point of Sale (POS), Call Center/Order Entry, Inventory Management, Ecommerce, Purchase Order Management, Payables, Receivables, Fixed Assets and General Ledger applications. Slingshot’s unique application editor, eTools, was instrumental in personalizing and extending the software to respond to In The Pink’s unique business requirements.

The demands of operating in high-traffic resort locations including Cape Cod, Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard influenced In The Pink’s decision to move forward with Slingshot.

The multi-channel nature of In The Pink’s business required critical functions such as the ability to fulfill all orders (ecommerce, phone, store) from any of its store locations, the ability for its sales associates to have complete inventory visibility across the entire enterprise, and the ability to process returns and recognize the original source of the sale.
