Slingshot Software Launches Release 11.0 of Enterprise Business Software Suite

DEDHAM, MA, OCTOBER 22, 2009 – Slingshot Software today announced the release of version 11.0 of its enterprise business software suite. Version 11.0 features several enhancements and improvements to the enterprise business software suite, comprised of sales order management, procurement and requisition management, inventory and warehouse management, planning and forecasting, and advanced financial management solutions.

Release 11.0 features a new AJAX-based user interface (UI) for all of Slingshot’s Web-based applications. The new AJAX client features a radical reduction in the size of HTML transferred from the server to the client, reducing the load on the Web server and improving application speed and overall performance. Release 11.0’s redesigned and restyled user interface improves both the usability and look and feel of the system.

Release 11.0 also features more than 75 infrastructure and application enhancements, making Slingshot applications more feature-rich and functional than ever before. Functional infrastructure enhancement highlights include added support for the PostgreSQL database management system, a newly integrated workflow engine and a re-implemented alerts infrastructure.
