“Integrated Web Shopping” added to Procurement Apps

Today’s buyers are increasingly relying on the Internet to streamline procurement processes.  However, many applications still treat the Internet as an external source of information.  Only Slingshot integrates the ability to shop the web for any item on a request or PO.

 Simply click a link within Slingshot and a new browser tab opens listing suppliers and prices for the item selected.  A second link allows you to compare you own purchase history for the item including supplier performance.  You can expand your search to include similar items.  When you believe you have identified the source supplier you can “tentatively” add it to the requisition line.  This allows you to analyze multiple alternatives before committing to a purchase.  When you are ready to buy, one click pulls all selected lines for a selected supplier into a new purchase order.
